Torah Pointer

The Torah Pointer, or Yad (Hebrew word for hand) is used in Synagogue to read from the Torah. Since the parchment of the Torah can only be written on by a specially-qualified scribe, and is considered holy, it is not permitted to touch the scroll with your hand, but only with an artificial hand (Yad) to preserve it as much as possible. Bluewhite has a range made from wood or Jerusalem stone, with or without its own stand, to honour this Mitzvah (commandment).
